The Program:
The goal of the program is to address children’s social and emotional challenges so they can develop competent, age-appropriate functioning.
The curriculum provides carefully planned play and learning activities to promote and restore healthy social and emotional development while supporting physical and cognitive growth.
Parent education, guidance and support are an integral part of the program. If additional support is needed, children and families will be referred to appropriate developmental and therapeutic support services in the community.
Will my child benefit from the Jenny Waelder Hall Nursery School?
The nursery school provides a specialized educational program for young children who are having problems with their emotional and social functioning. These children’s educational and developmental needs may not be met in a typical preschool setting.
